Jewelry Design Course Biography
Source(google.com.pk)I am a self-employed jeweller and silversmith and have been teaching since 2002, both of which I find motivating and rewarding. I exhibit in group and solo shows, selling my work through galleries in this country and abroad, and working to commission. I especially enjoy the designer-maker side of my practice as it enables me to explore new techniques and ideas whilst working closely with the client. The repair, reconstruction and recycling of jewellery is also a recent and expanding aspect of my business.
CURRENT COMMITMENTS
2013
Preparing pieces for exhibition, London Jewellery Week
Book signings for in June and July for:
Stonesetting for Contemporary Jewellery Makers by Melissa Hunt
Commissioned by RotoVision Publications and published by Search Press, this book outlines a variety of stone setting techniques for working jewellers and aspiring professionals. I enjoyed this challenge of putting practical techniques into words and diagrams, my teaching experience being a valuable resource.
